Busy Summer!

 Wow, it has been a LONG, LONG, time since I have posted on the blog! We have been so busy, so I will keep it short with lots of pictures!

In July we had:
*Redfish Lake (Camping for 7 days with the girls, my parents, and Matt joined us for 4 days)
*Natalie's birthday party (Had a big party inside due to rain, but everyone made it and it was a blast)

In August we had:
* 3 trips to McCall.
* Lots of family time!
* I started my student teaching in Murtaugh in an amazing 3rd grade classroom.
* The girls started going to daycare full-time

In September we had:
*A trip to McCall
* Busy with student teaching!
* Busy...where did September go? I don't know that I took any picture in September with my camera!
*Madi started gymnastics on Monday!
*Madi started tap/ballet on Thursdays!
* I was asked to teach an after school program at the school on Tues/Thurs.
* I was offered a long term substitute position starting in January until the end of the school year!

We are so blessed, everyone has been healthy for the most part (stupid smoke!) and we are just enjoying a busy semester while I student teach! Hope everyone is well!

Sick Little Girl

We have had quite the week! Madi started throwing up at 3 am on Sunday! Finally last night when she started getting worse and wasn't making tears anymore I had to take her in. So I loaded up the girls and headed to Twin Falls so my mom could watch Natalie. Matt had a large pour of concrete that day and I didn't know when he would be off of work. So after 3 hrs in the ER they were able to give her Zofran and she was able to keep a small amount of apple juice down. The doctor said she was very dehydrated but if we could get on top of it and the Zofran would work it was a lot less traumatizing for a 2 year old. Here are a few pictures of the poor girl. The first one is from yesterday before we headed to the doctor. The other two are of us in the ER. The gave her some stickers to play with because she was crying so loud. They also shut the door on us because she was so loud! Hahah! I think she is finally on the mend no messes last night! woohoo!

Warm Weather!

Nice weather has meant lots of time outside, fishing, and camping. We were able to go camping and fishing at C.J. Strike outside of Mountain Home two weeks ago. We only stayed overnight but we still had a blast!

The girls keep us laughing every day! Sunday we were heading to Twin Falls to visit my mom for mothers day, Madi decided she wanted to wear my shoes. Long story short we had to even bring them in the car just to make her get in! :)

Natalie decided she wanted to do some potty training this week as well...haha not!

One last picture of Madi taken today after getting up at 6 am, pooping in the potty(1st time since we moved), and playing at the park! I was downstairs moving laundry and came back up to find this sleeping beauty!

Visitors

This weekend Matt's dad John, and his wife Marleen came out to Burley. We had lots of fun eating at restaurants, playing with dogs, fishing, and going to the City Of Rocks. It was a nice visit.

Of course some times having a 2 year old and doing a lot of activities don't really mix. Madi is such a good little girl but when she gets tired watch out!!!!! Here is an example of what happens when she snaps! Haha love that girl!

Fun with Friends

This week the girls and I went to the Heyburn green belt with our neighbor Kira and her son Cray. They live just down the road from us and him and Madi are only a few months apart. The kids have so much fun chasing each other around and starting trouble. They even tried to mountain clib hehe!  Here are a few pictures from our walk!

Fishing Fun!

This past weekend the family went to Adrian, Oregon to go fly fishing on the Owyhee River. Well Matt was fishing and the girls and I were just going to play and enjoy the wonderful weather.

We played in the back of the truck and went on a couple of walks. Then after lunch I was getting the girls dressed. I asked Madi to come over to the truck so I could change her pants... well I looked up and saw this! She was just walking down the road with her pants down! She kills me.
I didn't get very many pictures of Matt because I was busy chasing the girls around but he did catch 3 fish. We had so much fun and the weather was beautiful!

I hope everyone had a great Easter! I am so happy for nice weather! Hooray for Spring!

Fishing & Trucks Oh My!

In the past couple of weeks we have been enjoying the outdoors when the weather is nice! Madi got chicks and loves them. We saw them in the store and she kept saying "oh dad Ppppleeeezzzzz" So we came home with 4 and have a chicken coop they will be moving into shortly!

This past weekend we decided to go fishing at the local fishing pond! Madi had so much fun and made friends with a couple of little girls! Matt didn't get to do much fishing he was more in charge of putting more worms on Madi's pole. She caught 3 or 4 baby blue gill and even game one a kiss then immediately turned to me and said "sugusting" meaning disgusting! haha.

Natalie had lots of fun playing outside as well! I just noticed my car in the background of this picture! It is officially the last picture of the Suby!

After fishing we decided to head to Twin Falls to try fishing by Shoshone Falls at Dirkey's Lake. By the time we got to Twin both girls were sound asleep so we decided to go drive around and look at trucks. We had talked about getting a small truck for me and the girls. Something that had a little more room the the Suby! Don't get me wrong I loved my Subaru but it was getting to small for our family! Well long story short and when I say long I mean after sitting for 6 hrs at the dealership with both kids! We are now the proud owners of a Nissan Titan! I love having a truck! It is so nice to just throw the girls stroller or bikes in the back!!!! Well I am supper excited for nicer weather and starting my garden in the next week! HAPPY EASTER everyone!

WOW 8 MONTHS OLD

Time has really been going by so fast. The girls are getting so big! Natalie is 8 months old and is a funny, happy girl. She was a late bloomer in a few categories. In the last month she has started to eat some baby food, crawl, got two teeth, and sleeps in her own bed. Natalie is very different from Madilyn. She wants to cuddle all the time, and loves her mommy time. I won't complain, but it is a lot different from when Madilyn was a baby.

Madi is as independant as ever! She talks like a 3 year old and has the most amazing manners! She will say thank you for everything! She is loving the warmer weather because she loves to be outside. She is one busy girl who loves to dress up as a princess, or what she calls a "prinz".

The girls and I have been traveling back and forth from McCall the last couple of months. I am preparing to student teach in McCall in the fall and I have some school work I have to complete in a 3rd grade class up there! I love it and it makes me miss McCall so bad! The drive can be a little rough! It is a 4.5 hr drive with out any stops and me having the girls by myself requires at least 3 stops! But it is all worth it and we love to get to spend time with Matt's family. Madi escpecially enjoys having Papa Leon pull her in the sled.

In Feburary the girls were baptized by Matt's Grandpa Basye. It was such a special day for everyone. Thanks for everyone that came and shared that day with us.

This weekend we headed out to the Dam so Matt could check on a pump and then we went up to the City of Rocks, it was beautiful and the girls had so much fun! Madi did very good hiking but on the way back she got a little tired! Hopefully I can keep the blog more up to date!
