It's Been Way to Long!!!

Hello everyone. The Basye house has been so crazy the last couple of weeks. I stopped working and now get to stay home with the girls. I feel busier than when I was working 40 hours.  We have been busy with family Christmas parties and getting ready for Matt's graduation! Well yesterday was finally the day and he graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelors of Engineering in Construction Management. I am so proud of him and all of his hard work. Here are some pictures from over the past couple of weeks....

Family Time... and Yummy Food

This past week has been busy, sad, crazy, busy, fun, and YUMMY! Last Saturday Matt and I and the girls drove up to McCall for the day. On the way up there we came around a corner and found a crash between a truck and a small car. We pulled over and I got out to help. I immediately jumped into the   of the car and held on to the passenger. The driver of the car and the passenger were students at U of I and were driving down for the holidays. It was a blizzard out and by the time help got there I had been holding this girl for 1.5 hrs. As the ambulance pulled away and Matt and I continued up to McCall I was sick to my stomach for these girls well being. Well on Sunday while at work I was informed that the girl I had tried so hard to help had died during the night. I was heartbroken. I really don't even know how to explain how I truly felt, I have been on bad calls working on the ambulance, but this was different. It was unexpected and I didn't plan on helping anyone that day. So the beginning of this week just sort of stunk. I know I did everything I could but I just hurt for her family, her friends, and the man who couldn't avoid hitting the car.

On a happier note, Wednesday we went to Matt's mom's house, and had prime rib and twice baked potatoes for dinner. Two of my very favorite things. It was fun to spend time with that part of the family. Then yesterday we went to Matt's uncles house to enjoy a turkey dinner. It was fun to all be together for the afternoon and to stuff our faces with yummy food.

One last photo of the girls playing today! Sister love! Madi was playing dress ups and brought out a hat for Natalie to wear! I love them! :)

I can't believe Matt graduates in 29 days. Things have just been crazy around our house! I am so excited to say that November 30th will be my last day of work. I get to be a stay at home mom to my beautiful crazy girls! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Our lives are about to change for the better and I can't wait to start our next chapter. So here is a couple pictures, more to come later! The first picture is Grandma Dottie Basye and Natalie on Halloween.  The picture of Madi is at a park in Donnelly. I am editing more pictures to come these have not been edited.

Trip to McCall & Riggins

Well last Wednesday Matt went up to Riggins to go hunting. I left Thursday morning with the girls. Well Madi decided she needed to start coughing so hard she made herself sick. I was pulled over in the middle of the canyon on Hwy 55 with Madi sitting in her portable crib while I cleaned out the car! JOYFUL. She then managed to do it again. I decided to take her into the doctor when I got into McCall. They decided to test her for whooping cough...they had to stuff a swab up her nose and down her throat. It was a terrible experience. The girls and I drove down to Riggins on Friday to see Matt and his Dad.

I took Madi outside for a few minutes on Saturday, it was not very warm but she had fun running around, and sitting on Grandpa's motorcycle.

Here are a few pictures of last week. Madi loves to ride her bike... we make her wear her helmet! She is growing up so fast. And Natalie is now 3 months old and loves LOVES LOVES to laugh. I will try to get a video this week.

Sick Girls!

Well both girls have really bad colds this week. I had to take Natalie in on Thursday. She is so stuffed up she can't breathe. She started to throw up and was choking. I had to use back thrusts to get her to start breathing again. SCARY STUFF when it's your own kids. Thursday morning she started throwing up around 1:30 am. I took her out to the couch so I could sit up with her. I plugged in the humidifier and stayed awake the whole night just making sure she was breathing! Well she just has a bad cold.

A few days ago we found Madi a new stuffed animal to sleep with, except he is not stuffed! Gauge really likes Madi's big girl bed!

And finally the girls and I are pretty upset that just last week is was 91 degrees and now it is in the sixties.  Madi was not excited about the rain and wanted to go outside and play with Gauge! It broke her heart that I wouldn't let her because it was so cold!

Busy Week, But I found Dora the Explorer in the Living Room

I have been at work since Wednesday and I am only halfway through my work week. I am missing the girls like crazy. On Tuesday Madi ran into my room with her backpack in hand and asked for help. I helped her to put it on and she ran out. I walked back into the living room and found "Dora" sitting on her pony and with her backpack on watching Dora the Explorer... She cracks me up!

Jump Time

The girls seem to be growing exceptionally fast this week! We spent lot of time playing on the floor with Natalie this weekend. Madi love's to lay down next to her and give her kisses.
Tonight we decided to take Madi to a place called Jump Time in Meridian. It is full of giant bounce houses to slide on and jump in. She loved it!

Last week we turned Madi's crib into a toddler bed. She was crawling in and out of the crib so we thought it would be the safest thing. Well tonight when I went to get check on her and make sure she was asleep this is how I found her..... PRICELESS!!!!

Las Vegas & Marri's Wedding

This weekend we drove to Las Vegas for Matt's cousins' wedding. We left on Thursday night and ended up staying overnight in Ely, NV then drove the rest of the way to Vegas on Friday. We stayed in Henderson, NV which is just outside of Vegas. We loved being surrounded by all of our family! We had a lot of fun and didn't loose to much of the girls college fund..jk.

Madilyn had a great time playing in the swimming pool.

She was also the hit of the party at the reception. She thought she could break dance like all the other kids, and she would just flop onto the floor and lay there. She danced for over 2 hours, and wouldn't let anyone near her!

I had a great weekend and I love my family!

State Comm & ISP Summer BBQ

A few weeks ago my work had an end of the summer BBQ at a local park in Meridian. Although I didn't get very many pictures I have to share a funny story of Madilyn.

She was drinking out of a water bottle and finished it off. She asked for more and pointed to the water fountain she was playing with just a few minutes earlier... I nodded and told her she could go fill it up. A few moments later I looked up to see if she was still playing at the water fountain and she wasn't there. I started to panic as I didn't see her on the playground either. My friend Cindy pointed across the field saying "there she is". Well the pictures will speak for themselves... she was just trying to fill up her water bottle!

Sleeping Beauties!

So this weekend is pretty crazy for me. I switched a few days with someone from work so I can drive to Vegas next weekend for Marri's wedding. (Matt's Cousin). So I will be working Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday night, Monday night, and then Thursday. We will be leaving for Vegas Thursday night. I am super excited... and yes we are crazy to drive to Vegas with two babies... but what the heck!

Well Matt is watching the girls Saturday, Sunday, and Monday... boy does he have his hands full. Well today when I got home from work at 2 both girls were sound asleep! Oh I love him.. I thought about taking a nap, catching up on tv shows, or blogging... so here I am. My goal is to try to blog at least twice a week. We will see if I can keep up! So here are my sleeping beauties... Madilyn 20 months old, Natalie 7 weeks.

Summer 2011 Coming to and End

I am sad by the fact that this summer is ending and I start back to work on Thursday! Madilyn started back at gymnastics today and it will give us something to do on one of my days off. Natalie is already 6 weeks old on Wednesday! I can't believe my baby is getting so big! I am going to try to keep this blog going to track my beautiful girls growing up. We had a friend Catti take pictures of the girls last night. They turned out very cute! Here are just a few.....

My girls are so much fun and I am going to miss spending all of this time with them! I can't wait to see what our future will bring!

LOVE THE BASYE GIRLS!
