It's Been Way to Long!!!

Hello everyone. The Basye house has been so crazy the last couple of weeks. I stopped working and now get to stay home with the girls. I feel busier than when I was working 40 hours.  We have been busy with family Christmas parties and getting ready for Matt's graduation! Well yesterday was finally the day and he graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelors of Engineering in Construction Management. I am so proud of him and all of his hard work. Here are some pictures from over the past couple of weeks....

Family Time... and Yummy Food

This past week has been busy, sad, crazy, busy, fun, and YUMMY! Last Saturday Matt and I and the girls drove up to McCall for the day. On the way up there we came around a corner and found a crash between a truck and a small car. We pulled over and I got out to help. I immediately jumped into the   of the car and held on to the passenger. The driver of the car and the passenger were students at U of I and were driving down for the holidays. It was a blizzard out and by the time help got there I had been holding this girl for 1.5 hrs. As the ambulance pulled away and Matt and I continued up to McCall I was sick to my stomach for these girls well being. Well on Sunday while at work I was informed that the girl I had tried so hard to help had died during the night. I was heartbroken. I really don't even know how to explain how I truly felt, I have been on bad calls working on the ambulance, but this was different. It was unexpected and I didn't plan on helping anyone that day. So the beginning of this week just sort of stunk. I know I did everything I could but I just hurt for her family, her friends, and the man who couldn't avoid hitting the car.

On a happier note, Wednesday we went to Matt's mom's house, and had prime rib and twice baked potatoes for dinner. Two of my very favorite things. It was fun to spend time with that part of the family. Then yesterday we went to Matt's uncles house to enjoy a turkey dinner. It was fun to all be together for the afternoon and to stuff our faces with yummy food.

One last photo of the girls playing today! Sister love! Madi was playing dress ups and brought out a hat for Natalie to wear! I love them! :)

Wow only 29 days!

I can't believe Matt graduates in 29 days. Things have just been crazy around our house! I am so excited to say that November 30th will be my last day of work. I get to be a stay at home mom to my beautiful crazy girls! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Our lives are about to change for the better and I can't wait to start our next chapter. So here is a couple pictures, more to come later! The first picture is Grandma Dottie Basye and Natalie on Halloween.  The picture of Madi is at a park in Donnelly. I am editing more pictures to come these have not been edited.

Trip to McCall & Riggins

Well last Wednesday Matt went up to Riggins to go hunting. I left Thursday morning with the girls. Well Madi decided she needed to start coughing so hard she made herself sick. I was pulled over in the middle of the canyon on Hwy 55 with Madi sitting in her portable crib while I cleaned out the car! JOYFUL. She then managed to do it again. I decided to take her into the doctor when I got into McCall. They decided to test her for whooping cough...they had to stuff a swab up her nose and down her throat. It was a terrible experience. The girls and I drove down to Riggins on Friday to see Matt and his Dad.

I took Madi outside for a few minutes on Saturday, it was not very warm but she had fun running around, and sitting on Grandpa's motorcycle.

Here are a few pictures of last week. Madi loves to ride her bike... we make her wear her helmet! She is growing up so fast. And Natalie is now 3 months old and loves LOVES LOVES to laugh. I will try to get a video this week.

Sick Girls!

Well both girls have really bad colds this week. I had to take Natalie in on Thursday. She is so stuffed up she can't breathe. She started to throw up and was choking. I had to use back thrusts to get her to start breathing again. SCARY STUFF when it's your own kids. Thursday morning she started throwing up around 1:30 am. I took her out to the couch so I could sit up with her. I plugged in the humidifier and stayed awake the whole night just making sure she was breathing! Well she just has a bad cold.

A few days ago we found Madi a new stuffed animal to sleep with, except he is not stuffed! Gauge really likes Madi's big girl bed!

And finally the girls and I are pretty upset that just last week is was 91 degrees and now it is in the sixties.  Madi was not excited about the rain and wanted to go outside and play with Gauge! It broke her heart that I wouldn't let her because it was so cold!

Busy Week, But I found Dora the Explorer in the Living Room

I have been at work since Wednesday and I am only halfway through my work week. I am missing the girls like crazy. On Tuesday Madi ran into my room with her backpack in hand and asked for help. I helped her to put it on and she ran out. I walked back into the living room and found "Dora" sitting on her pony and with her backpack on watching Dora the Explorer... She cracks me up!
